ENROLLMENT FEE OPTIONS

Option #1: Single Embryo

A $1000 Non-refundable booking fee paid in advance. Thus will reserve one recipient mare. This option includes one artificial insemination breeding and one embryo flush. Also includes transfer of embryo into recipient mare. This does not include mare care for the donor mare or the recipient mare (after 30 day confirmation of pregnancy). Recipient mare is given synthetic progesterone (Regu-mate) for the period from embryo transfer up to 30 days of pregnancy at our expense. A progesterone assay is performed just before the 30 days to determine whether the placenta is producing enough natural progesterone to maintain pregnancy . If the assay finds that recipient mare requires additional Regu-mate, this will be at the owners expense.

Option #2: Multiple Embryos

A $1350 non-fundable booking feel paid in advance. This will reserve as many recipient mares (up to 5) as would be required by the donor mare. The option includes Equine FSH ( super-ovulating hormone) given intramuscularly to the donor mare at a precise timing to stimulate formation of multiple embryos. Donor mares average 3.5 embryos when given FSH, younger mares percentages tend to be higher, and older mares tend to be lower. The FSH is given intramuscularly for approximately 5-9 days. This option includes one artificial insemination breeding and one embryo flush. Also includes transfer of embryo(s) into recipient mares. This does not include mare care for the donor mare or the recipient mare (after 30 day confirmation of pregnancy). RECIPIENT MARE LEASE

A fee of $2000 will be charged upon the confirmation of a 30 day pregnancy in a recipient mare. The mare is then removed from the premises of Breda-Lake View Vet Clinic or charges for mare care begin at that time. The mare is leased from Breda-Lake View Vet Clinic and to be returned to us within 6 months of foaling. If the mare is not returned or returned in unusable condition, there will be an additional $1000 charge. The recipients come with a live foal guarantee ( a foal that stands and nurses within 24 hours of birth )  of $1800 toward future embryo transfer services. We have a limited number of recipient mares on hand YOU MUST NOTIFY US AT LEAST 45 DAYS IN ADVANCE to insure that we have enough recipient mares to fill your needs. For clients using FSH for multiple embryos, additional mares can be leased for $1800 each. The same terms of the lease apply as above.

EXPECTATIONS OF SUCCESS

In young, healthy mares average recovery rate run about 60-80% per cycle.In older mares or mares with reproductive problems, rates vary from 20-40%. Some mares may never produce a viable embryo. Once an embryo is recovered and transferred into a recipient, the average pregnancy rate is about 70%. Other factors that can affect recovery rates are time of year and semen quality.here are not guarantees on the success of the embryo transfer, but we will do everything in our power to make it successful for you.
